On December 10–12, German President Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier will embark on a three-day official visit to Nigeria.
Following President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s inauguration in May 2023, this visit is the third high-level meeting between the two countries.
A delegation of prominent business executives and board members from prosperous German IT, high-tech, and energy enterprises will join President Steinmeier during his visit.
Meetings with important Nigerian figures, such as President Tinubu and Dr. Alieu Omar Touray, President of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), are on President Steinmeier’s schedule.
President Steinmeier will visit Lagos in addition to his formal commitments in Abuja. While there, he will meet with prominent Nigerian cultural figures, such as Nobel Laureate for Literature Prof. Wole Soyinka and Dr. Nike Okundaye, widely known as Mama Nike of the Nike Art Gallery.
