After he tested positive for doping in December 2023, Italian anti-doping prosecutors asked for the maximum four-year suspension. Pogba chose not to enter into a plea agreement with the anti-doping agency, therefore the matter was heard by the anti-doping court of the nation.
Pogba’s suspension began the moment he tested positive, and it lasted until August 2027.
Pogba stated he would share his complete tale “when I am free of legal restrictions” and that he would challenge the ruling at the CAS in Lausanne.
