Following their 2-0 victory at the Emirates in the first leg, Eddie Howe’s team expanded their lead after halftime thanks to goals from Anthony Gordon and Jacob Murphy.
Next month, Newcastle will play either Tottenham or Liverpool in the championship match at Wembley.
Tottenham return to action this evening to take on Liverpool in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg. Spurs head to Anfield with a one-goal lead over the Premier League leaders. They are looking forward to building on this advantage and advancing to the final.
