Afrobeats artist Davido has won over the public’s affection with both his music and a touching gesture.
The Nigerian superstar gave Ghanaian TikToker Ananzooficial $5,000 after seeing his impassioned rendition of Davido’s most recent album, 5ive, featuring Omah Lay’s song “With You,”
Ananzooficial shared a video of himself performing the song with almost flawless accuracy and genuine passion. The video went viral.
Davido, apparently moved by the performance, responded with the large monetary reward.
Davido’s 17-track album 5ive, which was released on April 18, 2025, has been a huge hit, reaching the top of several platforms’ charts and receiving millions of streams.
This deed of generosity strengthens Davido’s standing as a star in the world of music and as a performer who encourages and celebrates his followers.
