Chelsea moved to the top four in the Premier League after coming from behind to defeat West Ham on former manager Graham Potter’s return to Stamford Bridge.

Following other top-four contenders Manchester City and Newcastle suffered defeats over the weekend, the Blues were made to fight hard for the three points by the visitors, who lead at halftime through Jarrod Bowen.

Pedro Neto who came in as a substitute equalised for Enzo Maresca’s side in the second half, before Cole Palmer’s cross soared over West Ham goalkeeper Alphonse Areola, taking a large deflection from Aaron Wan-Bissaka to give the home side the win.

Bowen put Potter’s team ahead in the final stages of the first half, but Maresca brought on Neto and Marc Guiu early in the second half to turn things around, and Neto who was instrumental in his team’s comeback.

Marc Cucurella did an excellent job of keeping Neto’s deep cross in play for Enzo Fernandez to score, but the Argentine’s effort was blocked by Vladimir Coufal, allowing the Portugal winger to equalize on the rebound.
