Chelsea stamped their authority with a clinical 3–0 win over Espérance de Tunis in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup group stage. It was a night of smart rotations, breakout performances, and a reminder of the Blues’ growing squad depth under Enzo Maresca.

Chelsea struck twice in quick succession just before the break. Tosin Adarabioyo opened the scoring with a powerful header from an Enzo Fernández corner in the 45th minute. Just two minutes later, 21-year-old striker Liam Delap marked his first Chelsea goal in style, cutting inside and curling one past the keeper to double the lead.
Espérance never recovered from the double blow. Chelsea controlled possession in the second half. Tyrique George added a late third in stoppage time, putting the result beyond doubt.
It was a comfortable showing from a rotated Chelsea side missing several regular starters. Maresca’s faith in youth paid off, with Delap and George stepping up impressively. The win sees Chelsea top Group D and advance to the knockout stage, where they will face Portuguese giants Benfica.

With confidence high and momentum building, Chelsea fans have every reason to believe their team can go deep in this tournament.
