The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has promised to seize all cars with tinted glasses in response to the nation’s escalating security issue.
This was revealed Tuesday at a press conference held at the command’s Abuja headquarters by Commissioner of Police CP Olatunji Rilwan Disu.
He asserts that “tinted glasses are contributing to a lot of lawlessness in the country” and that no one has the right to tint car windows.
“We are cracking down on all commercial vehicles and anyone who tints their vehicles,” he stated. People in their cars must be visible to us.
Many of the kidnap victims who were saved have informed us that the tinted glasses prevented others from recognizing their anguish.
Many offenders simultaneously conceal their license plates. However, a few of them purposefully chose not to assign numbers to their cars.
This is to inform everyone living in the Federal Capital Territory that police will now enforce all regulations pertaining to tinted glasses. It is not someone’s right to tint their car.
