The Houthis Launch an Overnight Ballistic Missile Attack Against Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport
The Houthis launched a nighttime ballistic missile on Tel Aviv in retaliation for Israel’s extensive aerial attack on Yemen yesterday, demonstrating their continued willingness to attack Israel.
A Houthi spokesperson asserted that Ben Gurion International Airport was the target of a major escalation, despite reports that the missile was intercepted by air defenses before to its entry into Israeli airspace. The Houthis even assert that it was hit.
People in central Israel have been on edge, according to the Times of Israel: “After another ballistic missile attack by Yemen’s Houthis, sirens sounded in large swathes of central Israel overnight Thursday-Friday, for the fifth night in the last eight days.”
According to the same source, about 20 persons were hurt during the evacuations and panic, 18 of whom were slightly hurt when running to bomb shelters, and two of whom experienced anxiety attacks.
According to the statement, “the missile succeeded in reaching its target despite the enemy’s censorship, and the operation resulted in casualties and the cessation of navigation at the airport.”
However, the Israeli military affirmed that no strikes had been directed towards the airport or the surrounding area. Yemen is also said to have dispatched a drone, but it didn’t seem to do any harm.
Netanyahu recently promised to hunt down Houthi leadership, and Israel has increased its attacks on Yemen. However, the Houthis have vowed to continue their attacks “until the aggression on Gaza stops and the siege is lifted.”
Israel Katz, the defense minister, claimed a few days ago that the Yemeni group’s commanders had set themselves up as targets. The Israeli military will now prioritize eliminating them.
“We will deal with the heads of the Houthis in Sana’a or anywhere in Yemen, just as we took care of Sinwar in Gaza, Haniyeh in Tehran, and Nasrallah in Beirut,” Katz stated in the remarks on Tuesday, referring to the Hezbollah and Hamas leaders who were killed.
He vowed, “We will act both against their infrastructure and against them to remove the threat,” as he examined a battery of Arrow air defense systems that had just stopped the most recent Houthi missile.
Furthermore, he criticized Iran once more, stating that “whoever sponsors the Houthi terror in Hodeida or Sana’a will pay the full price.” Washington has long documented Tehran’s assistance to the group, including the use of drones and sophisticated missiles. As a result, the threat emanating from Yemen has increased dramatically.

One of the largest Houthi attacks to date occurred last Saturday when a rumored hypersonic ballistic missile struck Tel Aviv, injuring sixteen people. Additionally, Israel was the target of another Houthi missile fire Tuesday morning, the third such incident in less than a week.
