Nollywood veteran Bimbo Akintola has given fans a rare glimpse into her personal life, candidly revealing that she is single and does not have children at the age of 52.

In a heartfelt conversation with Pulse Nigeria, the award-winning actress was asked if she had children. Her response was simple but emotional:

“No, I don’t, unfortunately.”

Born on May 5, 1973, Akintola clarified that her single status wasn’t a deliberate choice.

“Not chosen oo,” she added with a touch of humour, hinting at life’s unpredictability when it comes to love and relationships.

Bimbo Akintola’s journey in Nollywood began in 1995 with her role in Owo Blow alongside Femi Adebayo, followed by a breakout performance in Out of Bounds (1997) with Richard Mofe Damijo. Over the decades, she has become a household name, celebrated for her powerful screen presence and versatility.

The Lagos-born actress attended Maryland Convent Private School and Command Day Secondary School before graduating with a degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Ibadan.

Most recently, she appeared in Kemi Adetiba’s series To Kill a Monkey, playing the no-nonsense Inspector Mo Ogunlesi.

For Bimbo, her life story is a testament to resilience, passion, and the reality that happiness isn’t always defined by marriage or motherhood.
