The grid breakdown occurred on Wednesday at approximately 2:09 p.m., according to a tweet sent from Nigeria’s National Grid’s official account.
The handler noted, “The restoration is to begin as the major grid setback has occurred.” Jos Disco also informed its customers of the development in a statement.
However, according to the utility company, the system failed at 1:33 PM today, causing its feeders to lose power.
“As soon as the grid supply returns to normal, we hope to restore normal power supply to our esteemed customers,” Dr. Friday Elijah, Head Corporate Communications, Jos Disco, informed its patrons.
Eleven times, the grid has collapsed. From January to November 2024, this is the 12th time it has happened.
