In Warri, Delta State, a young woman named Brenda passed away inexplicably after spending the night at the apartment of a man she met on TikTok. The event, which apparently happened over the weekend, has rekindled worries about online dating safety.
After interacting with Emmypounds on TikTok for three days, Brenda accepted an invitation to come see him at his home on Jakpa Road. Brenda’s family and friends became concerned when her phone was inaccessible for a number of days.
After reading through her chats on another device, one of her close friends who had access to her TikTok account found out that she had gone to meet Emmypounds. Brenda was transported to the hospital after becoming ill, according to Emmypounds, who was contacted.
