Reuben Amorim’s first Premier League match as Red Devils manager on Sunday came with a handshake of unforgettable memory as the new head coach was welcomed with a draw at Ipswich’s home, all thanks to Hutchinson’s beautiful strike.
Amorim’s team started well in the early few minutes of the game and got the lead as Marcus Rashford’s touch from Amad Diallo’s cross went into the back of the net.
However, Ipswich’s resilience gave birth to success at 43 minutes when Omari Hutchinson launched a stunning strike which Onana’s overstretched length couldn’t stop. Amorim’s facial expressions to the equalizer imply a cultural shock and a chilly reception to the Premier League’s new reality.
The game finished in a 1-1 stalemate at Portman Road Stadium as neither team was able to produce a winner in the second half despite both teams having chances.
