The two missing students from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) in Ondo State—Andrel Eloho Okah and John Friday Abba—have tragically been found dead. Okah was a student in the Department of History and International Studies under the Faculty of Arts, while Abba studied Economics in the Faculty of Agriculture. Their bodies were discovered over the weekend, roughly three weeks after their disappearance was first reported by classmates.

Concerned fellow students launched a search after both students failed to attend classes, eventually alerting the police. A security source, speaking anonymously on Sunday, confirmed that the students had been killed by suspected kidnappers and that their bodies were found in a forested area on the border between Akoko and Ekiti.

A student who wished to remain anonymous also confirmed the discovery, describing the mood on campus as one of sorrow and mourning. “It’s true. Their bodies were found in the bush. It’s a heartbreaking time for us all—everyone is in mourning,” the student said.

When contacted for comment, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, said he would provide more information later.

Earlier reports noted that the two students, both in their second year, had mysteriously gone missing. Concerned family members and friends had launched a desperate search and notified law enforcement in hopes of finding them.
