At least five people have been shot on a school campus in central Sweden; four have had surgery in hospital, and one is critically injured.
The attack took place on Tuesday at an adult education center in Orebro. The region surrounding the Risbergska School also houses various other schools, some of which have students.
According to police, one of the people in the hospital is suspected of being the perpetrator.
More people may be injured, according to police.
Students and staff were kept inside buildings when police thought the attacker was still at large. They are now being evacuated.
At 13:20 local time (12:20 GMT), police issued a warning to keep away from the area. Soon after, four persons were reported to have been shot, later increasing to five.
According to authorities, the degree of the injuries is unknown, and the identities of those shot have yet to be identified.
