Familiarity exhausts and inhibits learning, curiosity and enthusiasm.
The concept and principle of familiarity isn’t applicable to relationships alone.
It is broadly applicable to environment, community and experiences.
Doesn’t or hasn’t it shocked you that people you now hold in contempt as a result of familiarity are able to do things for others that you couldn’t get or experience from them?
It applies more even to your environment and society. You believe you have seen everything so the eagerness, meekness and curiosity to learn and explore is foreclosed.
So many minds jaded by the familiarity of their limited, myopic and shallow experiences.
You need novel eyes and mind of a stranger to always see things clearly and broadly.
