Bayern Munich advanced to the Champions League quarterfinals for the sixth consecutive season on Tuesday after defeating Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 thanks to a goal from Harry Kane.

With goals from Kane and Alphonso Davies in the second half, Bayern defeated the defending Bundesliga champions Leverkusen 5-0 on aggregate, leading 3-0 from the first leg of the round of sixteen. This result set up a matchup with Inter Milan in the round of eight.

Against Bayern, Leverkusen shot themselves in the foot in both the first and second legs. They gave the German powerhouses goals both at home and away, which made their job much simpler. As a result, they are now eliminated from the Champions League at the round of 16.
