First lady Remi Tinubu’s office has addressed the controversy surrounding her visit to Delta State College of Nursing Sciences.
The management of the nursing school had previously queried a student for recording a now-viral video in which her peers seemed to disagree with the First Lady’s designation as a “national mother.”
The video’s circulation has been acknowledged in a statement signed by the first lady’s senior special adviser on media, Busola Kukoyi.

The First Lady’s office emphasized the value of enabling students to express themselves in a secure and encouraging academic setting, while acknowledging the institution’s authority to maintain discipline.
