The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 draw has revealed a number of exciting matches that will be played from June 15 to July 13 at 12 different locations in the United States.
Manchester City, who defeated Fluminense to win the 2023 title, will play Juventus in Group G to begin their title defense. Al Ain and Wydad Casablanca will also play City. Chelsea, Club León, and Espérance de Tunis will all play Brazilian champions Flamengo in their difficult opening match in Group D.
Inter Miami under Lionel Messi has been drawn into Group A alongside Palmeiras and Porto, while Neymar’s Al-Hilal has rekindled his rivalry with Real Madrid in Group H. Atletico Madrid, Botafogo, and Seattle Sounders make up a tough Group B that Paris Saint-Germain will have to contend with, while Bayern Munich will play Benfica in Group C.
With 12 European clubs qualifying based on their Champions League records over the previous four seasons, the competition will include 32 teams for the first time. On July 13, the final will take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
The competition has encountered resistance despite its ambitious growth. Due to worries about player workload in an already hectic schedule, FIFPro and the European Leagues organization have complained to the European Commission.
FIFA has teamed up with DAZN for worldwide streaming in order to allay these worries, providing free game access and resolving previous sponsorship issues.
FIFA is certain that the enlarged Club World Cup would improve international club football and provide a memorable show for supporters everywhere, despite the fact that some detractors highlight the stress on the players.
